The Payments Tribe is responsible for all payment solutions for Austria and the GroupPayment function, including SWIFT, payment compliance systems, and card backend systems. We are seeking an IT leader to head this tribe, working closely with business stakeholders. In this role, you will be shaping the future of digital payments, enabling seamless transactions for millions. As the Head of Payments Solutions (IT), you will lead with a customer and reliability focus, enabling your teams to deliver value while maintaining the highest standards. You will cultivate technical excellence and teaching, empowering sustainable growth through continuous learning. By bridging business and technology, you will drive quality through culture, building for the long-term with a focus on impact over mere activity.

Dein Profil

  • Proven engineering leader with expertise in modern software development practices in a complex, high-volume and multi-technology environment
  • Deep expertise in payment systems architecture, integration, and operations
  • Strong understanding of payment regulations, international standards (e.g., SWIFT, PSD2), and compliance requirements
  • Strategic thinker who can define and implement a technology roadmap aligned with diverse business goals across Erste Bank and subsidiaries
  • Excellence in building and maintaining relationships with business leaders, fostering joint management of the Tribe consisting of mixed teams
  • Ability to lead and motivate integrated teams spanning business, IT, and external partners in a complex multi-entity environment
  • Strong communicator who can translate between business and technical audiences
  • Track record of delivering complex IT projects in highly regulated environments
  • Passion for building stable, secure and scalable platforms

Deine Aufgaben

  • Co-lead the Payments Tribe with key business stakeholders to translate business strategy into innovative technology solutions
  • Provide strategic leadership for the Payments Tribe's IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives for growth, stability, and innovation across Erste Group
  • Drive automation and optimization of payment processes to enhance efficiency and reliability
  • Closely collaborate with other Tribes utilizing payment functions to ensure excellent end-to-end customer experience
  • Ensure the highest standards of security, reliability, and performance for all payment systems
  • Stay abreast of emerging payment technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Payment technology experts
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners in the payment ecosystem
