The International Economics Section (Economic Analysis and Research Department) is a team of highly qualified experts responsible for analyzing international macroeconomic developments relevant to the central bank.

The section offers to interested students for a duration of 6 months (full or part-time starting from anywhere between January 1, 2026 and July 1, 2026) an Internship in International Macroeconomics.

Dein Profil

  • Ongoing bachelor’s degree is required; ongoing master’s or doctoral degree would be an asset
  • Profound knowledge of the programming language R, especially for managing, processing and visualizing data (charts and highcharts, in particular; maps; etc.) and skilled in building dashboards (Shiny)
  • Active interest in international economic issues related to capital flows, international trade or migration in the context of (de)globalization
  • Basic knowledge of German would be an asset

Deine Aufgaben

  • Maintaining and contributing to the further development of the section’s (De)Globalization Monitor database and corresponding dashboards
  • Contributing to the analyses of global and bilateral capital flows, trade and migration
  • Independent implementation of research projects on the above-mentioned topics in cooperation with members of the team is possible and welcome
  • Supporting the team in its daily operations
