Your responsibilites:

  • Calibration of control unit functionalities in the hybrid powertrain (engine, electric engine, exhaust gas after-treatment)
  • Planning, performing and analyzing steady-state and transient calibration in the vehicle and on (powertrain) test beds
  • Taking the interaction of the main components in the hybridized powertrain into account and implementing a suitable operating strategy with a view to reaching the following objectives:
    • driveability
    • consumption
    • compliance with statutory emission limits
    • meeting on-board diagnostic requirements
    • influence on assistance systems
  • Testing and optimization on test rides in all climatic conditions (heat, cold, high altitude)
  • Identification and analysis of variables that influence the robustness of the overall system and performance of robustness tests
  • Documentation of the development work, presentation of analyses and findings, both in-house and externally

Your profile:

  • Mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering or mechatronic engineering graduate of a university of applied sciences or university of technology
  • Profound knowledge of combustion engines, transmission, and e-drives and basic knowledge of electronics, IT and control engineering
  • Experience in the calibration of control units
  • Analytical thinking and understanding of complex relationships
  • Knowledge of the interactions between drive components in terms of consumption, driving behavior, emission and OBD
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented approach to work and accountability for achievement of objectives
  • Good communication, organizational and teamwork skills – both in external and in-house contexts
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in the language of the site (e.g. German) and/or readiness to learn the language
  • Readiness to travel
  • Passenger car driving license

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the intended annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: EUR 44.000,--. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
