For the Software Service department of the business scope Advanced Simulation Technologies in the Skill Area Customer Service, we are searching for a Student Trainee, who supports the Technical Writers in creating user documentation for our technical software products. Part-time position for 15 - max. 20 hours per week.
Researching and actively collecting information (technical input) from software development and service for the preparation of technical documentation
Creating and maintaining standardized technical documentation within the documentation software (currently SERNA)
Presenting complex technical content in understandable and clear form
Evaluating and improving the usability of technical documents in content and form
Reproducing of (prepared) basic simulation models to describe the related workflow
Ongoing English language related studies, paired with a strong interest in technology
Knowledge of documentation processing (Word, document layouts, pagination, editing)
Good linguistic expression (writing and revision skills, copy editing)
Knowledge of XML language an software collaboration (e.g. Jira or Confluence) are an advantage
Knowledge of basic image editing tools and concepts
Curious in Software
Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
Team work and collaboration
Good communication skills (cooperation with development and service teams)
Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the intended annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: EUR 29.415,--. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
