- Engineering Degree or similar and min. of 3 years industry experience, ideally in a similar role in the flow control industry (e.g. control valves or measurement solution in the Chemical, Power or Process industry).
- Basic Project Management experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Be a team player willing to work with other people.
- Fluent language skills in English and German.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Office 365.
- Commercial negotiation and product sourcing background desired.
Deine Aufgaben
- Maintains close relationship with Outside Sales Engineers, Product and Project Managers as well as the manufacturing sites on customer requests to provide best service to the customers in terms of technical solution, quality and on-time delivery.
- Validates customer requests in technical and commercial aspects.
- Prepares customer quotations within the agreed Delegation of Authority and on time considering discounts, prices and volume structures.
- Handles and supports on order follow-up to assure on time delivery to the customers.
- Updates the Emerson customer relationship management (CRM) tool on a regular basis with regards to submitted customer quotations and received orders.
- Ensures that purchase orders are commercially complete, validated and accurate before processing the order entry in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Processes complex quotations and orders with buyouts and/or multidivisional product mix.
- Acts as an advisor to the customer on technical solutions and benefits as well as aftersales service queries.
- Maintains and continuously develops high level of products and technologies knowledge to assure best service and support to the customers, participates in trainings where required.
- Practices and promotes the “Think Customer” culture in all aspects of the role.
- Actively participates and contributes to continuous improvements of inside sales processes to improve throughput and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures that all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company’s Trade Compliance procedures and escalates any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper.
- Attends customer meetings and on-site visits where required.
- Ensures activities are carried out in line with agreed departmental KPI’s.
