Our more than 2,000 IT experts and enthusiasts are the bank's Digital Muscle.Tribe SRE is looking for an experienced Storage & Backup Platform Owner to join the OSP department (Operating System Platforms).

In this role, you will help develop, operate, and continuously improve storage and backup platforms across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments. You will support data availability, integrity, security, and recoverability while contributing to resilient, automated, and efficient day-to-day operations.

You will also guide an existing and growing team, using Agile, DevOps, and value-focused practices to support shared responsibility, continuous improvement, and sustainable infrastructure operations.

Profil

  • 8+ years of active working experience with storage and backup technologies, practices, and operations.
  • Recent project experience with SAN, NAS, and DAS architectures; RAID; LUN masking; zoning; Fibre Channel; and storage provisioning.
  • Experience with storage arrays such as Dell EMC PowerStore, Dell EMC PowerMax, or NetApp ONTAP.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions, preferably IBM PowerProtect/TSM or Veeam.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining backup repositories, proxies, gateways, backup jobs, and retention policies.
  • Up to date active working knowledge of backup methodologies, disaster recovery, business continuity, ransomware protection, data retention, encryption standards, and data protection regulations.
  • Experience with VMware vSphere, OpenShift, KVM, and how storage and backup services integrate with virtual infrastructure.
  • Understanding of object storage, cloud-based disaster recovery, hybrid storage models, and automation for backup, restore, and storage services as code.
  • Builds reliable systems and thinks ahead about what can go wrong, making sure things keep working and improve over time.
  • Takes ownership of work from start to finish and works closely with others to get the right outcome for the user.

Aufgaben

  • Design, develop, and maintain storage and backup solutions with a strong focus on resilience, automation, and reliable daily operations.
  • Manage and optimize SAN, NAS, backup platforms, disaster recovery operations, retention policies, restores, and related services.
  • Support product owners, tech leads, and business stakeholders by providing technical guidance, promoting best practices, and helping make informed decisions.
  • Monitor storage and backup services using observability tools, respond to deviations, and maintain system stability, reliability, and performance.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and resolve issues independently or in collaboration with other teams.
  • Prepare root cause analysis and postmortem reports, define preventive measures, and communicate next steps clearly.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, response procedures, and runbooks.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning, capacity planning, lifecycle management, total cost of ownership improvements, and the on-call support rotation.
