Your responsibilities:

  • Assess heat management concept of Jenbacher Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer system (Cl.Air)
  • Investigate heat supply, storage and management options for new after-treatment product development
  • Research state-of-the-art literature on emission reduction by thermal oxidation
  • Apply 1D simulation (e.g. GT-Power, Matlab software) to build (macro-)kinetic models of oxidation processes
  • Validate model against data from field installations
  • Investigate effects of process parameter variation and exhaust gas composition on effectiveness of after-treatment systems


Your Profile:

  • Student of mechanical, chemical, process engineering or similar
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer phenomena, gas phase and catalytic processes
  • Proficiency with computational modelling. Experience with reaction kinetics and applicable software tools is a strong plus.
  • High motivation and ability to work independently
  • Good communication skills in an international environment

The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.131,51 gross per month (x 14).
