Most important is that you are not afraid of anything. Don’t care what other people think about you, live your own life and what you enjoy to do, because if you find out what you enjoy doing that’s the most important thing because ideally you can make your hobby to your job and then you will have a lot of fun in your job. Last but not least set goals; I have my five goals which I wrote down, which are next to my bed and every morning when I get up, I take a look at them, I really try to create pictures around those goals in my head and I’m repeating them constantly and it’s really incredible to see how quickly this goals become reality.

Was ist das coolste an Deinem Job?

So what I like the most is creating something where there is nothing before, that is really inspiring if I look back when we started we just had an Idea and time after time we hired more people, who worked in different projects and the whole thing grew. What’s more about it I really like meeting interesting people and in my job I’m meeting a lot of them and having challenges everyday and overcome those challenges.

Welche Einschränkungen bringt Dein Job mit sich?

I have a lot of things on my plate, so I really have to decide what to do first, set priorities; if it’s sales meeting or if we are working on a new project or if I speak at the conference abroad. All kind of different things that I’m working on and it’s setting the priorities because your time is limited you have 24 hours a day and it’s really important to think what to do first or what to delegate to the employees.

Worum geht es in Deinem Job?

Pioneers is the platform for entrepreneurship an innovative feature technologies. We see many challenges that the world is facing right now and we believe that we can solve through entrepreneurship and innovative feature technologies. So we’re inspiring, empowering and connecting the next generation of pioneers to create their own business and to become successful. What I do in my daily business is… as a CEO of a company start up you first of all have to do everything, so you’re not Chief Executive Officer, you’re more Chief Everything Officer. So you set up the bank account, you hire the first people, you do the cleaning in the office but year after year you start to delegate this kind of tasks to your team and now we already have 20 people, so they are helping me out and I’m really trying to get rid of all the operative tasks that I have to have time to do the strategic thinking and think about the next project that we will be working in the future. That’s a lot of fun. We are starting with our Monday Pioneers meeting, where the whole team gets an update about the different project we are working and chairing this meeting, then I regularly have feedback talks with my employees of course I’m dealing with some major clients that we have, I’m getting to know interesting people quite often this also a lot of fun for me, I’m also discussing a lot with our investor and my partner, that’s basically it.

Wie sieht Dein Werdegang aus?

I grew up in a very southern part of Austria called Einsenkapel, I went to high school in ... and right after high school I wanted to see the world or at least I wanted to move to bigger city and I moved to Vienna to study and VU here in Vienna. I always wanted to do something next to university so this theoretic knowledge that I got there was not enough, I did several projects beside that I set up a call center selling foods in Carinthia then i was sports manager for football player in Carinthia and I Co-Founded the Students Consulting Company Icons and after that I thought about what I want to do with my life, was choosing between investment banking, consulting or founding my own company. I wanted to have an impact with I’m doing right from the beginning and so I founded Pioneers, it was back in 2009.

Ginge es auch ohne Deinem Werdegang?

Definitely yes, for me it was still very important to work in student organizations like AISEC or Icons. I learned and gained a lot of experience there and this experience helped me a lot in founding Pioneers and working out the business plan for that, hiring the first employees. It was more this practice experience that helped me than the theoretical that I gained at University or school. In my job we have to like to work together with people you also need a lot of strategic thinking, you need some social skills especially often I have to do sales, you have to sell your company or what you’re doing and you have to motivate people.
