“Learning new things and meeting important people”, that’s what Ali Ahmadi loves most about his job as an interpreter for the languages Farsi, English and Arabic. As far as refugees are concerned he is in charge of registering students in a cultural building, speaking to them and translating the problems they have, so they can be solved properly. What kinds of skills are necessary for his job? “You don’t only need language skills, but also communication, computer and typing skills. You need experience and self-confidence.”
