“Don’t care about what other people say about you.” Victoria “Dinglederper” got bullied for playing and was afraid to tell anybody about her fascination of playing video games, when she was 14 years old. One limitation of her job as a Twitch Streamer is the amount of working time: “People think that it’s just easy, but there’s a lot of work behind the scenes.”

Drei Ratschläge an Dein 14jähriges Ich!

I was in public school when I was 14 so I would say don’t care what other people say about you because I got bullied for playing games my freshman year which sucked. So I afraid to tell anyone that I played games, once I did they were throwing grapes at me they were like saying hello bla bla and they were just being mean to me and I was it doesn’t feel comfortable I don’t like it here. So then when I told no one that I played games it was like super-secret until I streamed, and I streamed as a secret and you know and those were the only people who could understand me so I could say don’t worry about those people, you parents will always support you with whatever decisions you make and just have fun with it.

Was steht auf Deiner Visitenkarte?

My name is Dinglederper and I am an entertained for Twitch TV.

Was ist das coolste an Deinem Job?

I like meeting new people from different parts of the world and hearing what they say and what they do I absolutely love that you meet a lot of friends like just through it. Like a lot of my moderators are now my really close friends who I could tell anything and I am so excited to meet at events like this. So you just get to meet new people, new friends, I love that people who understand you.

Welche Einschränkungen bringt Dein Job mit sich?

One I am a girl so I get a lot of mean comments but I actually don’t get faced by the mean comments, it’s mainly mean comments about my game play so I not one to be very serious about game play but what I am at New day game and people are mean about it then I get a little salty. It’s a lot of work people think that it is just easy they are just like “you are just a streamer” no there is a lot behind the scenes every day I work so hard on trying to get my subscribers happy with me doing everything just trying to make everyone happier.

Worum geht es in Deinem Job?

As a streamer you, it is kind of YouTube alive so that is what I tell people when they ask me what I do it’s like YouTube but its live and you have a chat, so you just sit there and play games I try to show them the application like the Twitch app and you have one on one interactions with people in chat and then you can play games you can do pretty much whatever you want, whatever game you want it doesn’t have to be a top game or just whatever everyone wants you to play, you can play whatever you want because there are true friends who will watch you. So what I do is I wake I get ready sometimes I have to chill or I have a lot of work with subscribers wanting to draw their favorite color and animal and if I get overloaded the day before then I need to catch up I need to draw it before my next stream. So I try and do that and send Snapchat pictures and then I generally get online and I just stream for like six hours, for as long as I can.

Wie sieht Dein Werdegang aus?

I was born and raised in New Jersey, North Jersey, I went to high school at my public school but I didn’t do too well so then I went to boarding school, let me restart this because I mixed. Okay so I was born and raised in New Jersey, North Jersey I have three older brothers. So I started playing games since I was really young and I got really addicted to World of Warcraft like absolutely addicted. So then I went to school and it wasn’t until college when I started streaming as much as I could. So I started streaming freshman year of college because I had to good internet and it was just something for me to do to get away from all those school work because it was really difficult for me. So I had a bunch of tutors my day was really busy so I would go to class I would have tutor for like three hours and then I would stream for the rest because wanted to get all my homework done so I could stream. And then I tried really hard and then throughout the years in the public school I was shy and I just became more outgoing I become really goofy so I kind of put that into my stream dressed up like Wanzies and I put pillows and I danced like a weirdo and that’s seemed to hit it off for Twitch TV. So once I started getting a following it was a big explosion so I didn’t gradually explode it was one big explosion I didn’t know what to do. So I streamed as much as I could and my academics dropped a little bit but I still had my tutor every day so I was able to do that. But then the second year I realized I didn’t like school as much as I thought I did. So I tried to tell my dad that I didn’t want to go to school and I went like three weeks of the first semester and I just quit and I went to California and start streaming full time.

Ginge es auch ohne Deinem Werdegang?

I get that question a lot. You don’t have to have three older brothers or someone I know a lot of people who may be started gaming from their dad or in general love those games. It’s more of a passion you have and it’s not like you need to have this or that, you just try your hardest. There is two different personalities there is one being like the best at the game and then entertaining, those are…being the best in the game is most difficult because see like League of Legends I see a bunch of pro players don’t have as many viewers as entertaining streams but it’s mainly just to have fun that’s what I try to tell my viewers. If you are going to try and stream have fun. It’s not about I am going to make a lot of money doing this no its about having fun and meeting new people communicating with chat and playing games with them that’s my opinion.
